International recording artist Charice Pempengco Live in Doha on September 29
America’s hottest singing sensation Charice Pempengco is slated to stage a two-hour concert in Doha for the very first time. The event by Golden Relations is expected to draw about 15,000 fans. It is being considered as the biggest live entertainment event happening in Qatar this year.
Golden Relations in association with Regency Travel & Tours is proud to present multi-awarded recording artist and 'Glee' star, Charice Pempengco, in concert on September 29, at 8pm. The two-hour concert will be held at the Warm-Up Track next to Khalifa Stadium in Aspire Zone and tickets are QR150 and QR350 available in over 35 outlets across Qatar.
More popularly known as Charice, the Filipino performer is currently among America’s singing sensations. She is widely-recognised for her smash-hits songs such as ‘Pyramid’, which featured singer Iyaz, and ‘Before It Explodes’ written by Bruno Mars. Charice grabbed the limelight through YouTube, where US comedienne Ellen DeGeneres discovered her and later extended an invitation for the singer to be in her show. Charice’s appearance in DeGeneres’ programme later caught the attention of Oprah Winfrey. Her appearance in Winfrey’s show even more heightened her popularity in the US especially after the multi-awarded TV host and producer called her “the most talented girl in the world.”
Charice already performed side-by-side with the biggest names in the international music scene such as Celine Dion, David Foster and David Archuleta. She was also cast in the Season 2 of “Glee” as Sunshine Corazon, an exchange student from the Philippines who presents a serious competition against lead character Rachel Berry played by Lea Michele. Her TV role further enhanced her international popularity.
