During the Festival (Saturday, 17 November to Saturday, 24 November), Ticket Outlets at all screening or ticketed event venues will open approximately one hour prior to an event’s start time. Please note that all events at the Sony Open-Air Cinema are free (limited capacity; first-come, first-served) and do not require tickets.

Ticket Outlets may occasionally have reduced hours due to special events. Please check this page for the most updated timings and information.



Film Rating System

Films at DTFF are not edited or censored. Viewer discretion is advised and guided by the ratings system outlined below.

Based on content, all films in the Festival have been assigned an approved rating from the Ministry of Culture.



Subtitles

Unless otherwise noted, all films are shown in their original language, with English and Arabic subtitles as necessary. Translators will be on site for all panels and Q&A sessions.


Ticket Policy and Procedure

Admission

To guarantee admission, all ticket holders MUST be present in line at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

All attendees require a ticket for admission to screenings and Doha Talks. A badge alone does not grant admission.

Will Call
Tickets purchased online are available for pickup at all Ticket Outlets starting 1 November during regular ticket outlet operating hours. Purchaser must present order confirmation code and the credit card used for purchase to claim order.

Ticket Sales During the Festival
Same day ticket sales during the festival will be available at all DTFF Ticket Outlets based on screening availability. Sales will be discontinued online approximately 45 minutes prior to program start time and approximately 30 minutes prior to program start time at all ticket outlet locations. After these cut off times, you can only buy your ticket at the DTFF Box Office at the specific venue where the event takes place.

Student Discount
Students must present a valid ID to receive the discounted rate. Discounted rates are only available in person at any of our ticket outlet locations. There is a maximum of two (2) discounted tickets per screening per person and tickets purchased online at full price will NOT be credited a refund retroactively in person.
Rush Sales

All screenings and events where advance sale tickets are no longer available will be listed as RUSH SALES in the Festival Programme. A RUSH SALE line will form at the event venue approximately 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Admission will begin approximately 5 minutes before program start time based on availability. Admission is not guaranteed. Rush sales are cash only and are limited to one ticket per person.

All seats are general admission.
No children under the age of 5 will be admitted to any DTFF events. Children 5 to 8 years old will only be admitted to special Family Programming which is clearly notated by a kite icon in the Festival Programme. Children 8 to 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult to all regular ticketed Festival events.
Any and all audio or video recording and/or photography is strictly prohibited at all events.
