The Summer Program 2020 is an intensive three-week online course for high school students, which has an optional one week of portfolio development classes. The program’s curriculum is designed to build the students’ art and design skills and to assist them with developing their portfolios for applying to study at an art and design school. The students are able to design the program based on their interests and needs.
The course will begin with an introduction to four of the undergraduate degree programs being offered by VCUarts Qatar. The introductions will be given by the respective program Chairs. Students can choose one discipline from a selection of four majors: Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, or Painting and Printmaking, which they will study in-depth. The optional portfolio development classes will prepare prospective students who are submitting their portfolios as part of the application processes for art and design universities.
We moved all of our programs online following the COVID-19 outbreak. Building on our rich history and experience of Community Education, we will continue our direct impact on the regional community online.
