KEF organises Science Exhibition cum Contest on October 31st
Keralite Engineers Forum (KEF), the oldest association of Indian Engineers in Qatar will be conducting the 2nd edition of the Young Inventor Awards: a Science & Technology Exhibition on October 31,2014 at the Al Jazeera Academy starting from 3 PM to 6 PM. Objective of this exhibition is to encourage & bring out the scientific research talents of the students of Qatar, in line with the National Vision 2030 of our Emir HH Shiekh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. This was announced by the Office bearers of KEF during a Press meeting, yesterday.
Last year there were more than 100 participants from 12 Schools attending the exhibition. Winners were selected by an eminent panel of highly experienced Judges who themselves were Inventors, Engineers & Professors. This year we expect more than 150 students to participate from about 20 schools.
There will be trophies, certificates & cash prizes for the winners. Students of any schools in Qatar are eligible to participate. Participants are divided into 3 categories depending on their age. Sub Junior (Age between 6 & 11), Junior (Age between 12 & 15) & Senior (Age between 16 & 18). Students can participate as individuals or as a team of two. Weightage will be given to effective demonstration of the model. Exhibits are limited to 2 per categories (Sub junior, Junior & senior) per school. Working models to be displayed at the venue on the Exhibition day and Judgment will be done by eminent Judges. The exhibition will be open to public.
