How many participants have you had every year since its inception (in Doha)? What nationalities?

From the past years event, we saw the biggest turnout so far in Qatar with around 1,700 people participating in the run. The event attracted expats from all nationalities as well as Qatari nationals.

Where does the money go?

One of the main differences with this particular run is that all funds raised here will go to Cancer Research in Qatar.

How long is the run? (time-wise and km-wise)

The run itself is informal which means that the distance often varies, usually between 3 and 9 kilometres; participation is considered to be more important than completing the set distance.

Can children participate?

Families and children are welcome to participate. Past runs have proved to be very popular with families bringing their children and having a fun active day out for the cause.

What is the registration process?

Registration for the run starts at 1:00 p.m. at the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar. Volunteers can register their names at the Registration Booth by filling out a form and make voluntary donations before the run begins. Participants are only encouraged to make voluntary contributions during the day of the run towards the fight against Cancer.

Is it a run against time? (i.e. Are there winners?)

No, it is non-competitive and there is no particular winner for this run.
