The World Economic Forum has predicted that if current pace is maintained, the gap between genders within the workplace will be closed by 2095 (80 years away!). Numerous statistics have shown that companies benefit from gender equality in improved performance, happier customers and more satisfied employees. Moreover, compelling data reveals that companies with women leaders produce better financial results.

Gender equality has made positive gains, however more is required to bridge the gap between Male and Female equality in the workplace. Women are still under-represented in leadership roles, pay gaps between the genders, biases, stereotypes and discrimination still exists.

We cordially invite you to ‘Mind The Gap’ panel & networking session on Wednesday 2nd December hosted by Dell Services together with Wise Qatar (Dell’s Employee Resource Group focused on Gender Diversity). The panelists for this event include:

Claire Vyvyan who is one of Dell’s top female global executives and winner of Women in Business Award for Woman of the Year in Large Enterprise award in 2014 and ranked 26th in Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in IT within the UK for 2015.

Caroline Zeitler founder of How Women Work community and author of ‘How Women Succeed’ – inspiring women to create their own success.

Maryam_Al_Subaiey

Maryam Al Subaiey founder ofUChange Qatari youth initiative and Q Talent company who has created a documentary about women home businesses.

Richard_Strong

Moderated by Richard Strong, Dell’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Managing Director for EMEA and Executive sponsor of Dell Wise Qatar with a real passion to support bridging the gender divide.

The session aims to discuss how Dell is actively promoting diversity across its global locations, including the Middle East, with an opportunity to share best practices and create new practical ideas/initiatives which can be implemented to help bridge the gap between the genders within the workplace.
