Katara - the Cultural Village will host a number of programmes such as the Angry Bird exhibition (QR50 for five years old above)
A highlight of the festival will be a 35-minute show on astronomy that will be held thrice every evening for four days beginning on the first day of Eid Al Adha.
The show will be a feast for the senses and will consist of three parts, including the story of the universe and a Big Bang show concluding with a pyrotechnic display.
Dream on Ice is a two-hour extravaganza on ice featuring elegant skating, acrobatic performances, stilt walkers, jugglers, magicians and hula hoop on ice as well as an animal show featuring dogs, cats and seals. (entry fee is from QR100 to QR500 Virgin Megastores and online.)

A large tent has been erected in the southeastern part of the Katara Corniche, where twice daily shows will be staged, except on Saturdays, when there will be three shows.
Theatre lovers will get the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional performance of the play ‘Abu Salama’, featuring a group of youths. The award-winning play throws light on the injustice done by one man to another, with the story centred on an ordinary worker.
The play will be staged from October 4 to 6, from 8 pm to 9.30 pm, at Katara Drama Theatre.
Another highlight of the Katara Eid Al Adha festival is a circus show on ice which is being brought to Qatar for the first time.
