The IWED is Qatar's only wedding show and will be held at the Doha Exhibition Center from April 4th to 7th.

"Over 70 fashion brands from the GCC countries and around the world will take part in this wedding exhibition."

IWED is the the 5th International Wedding Exhibition.

Robert Abi Nader, "The first Lebanese designer to present his collection during Paris Haute Couture season and hailed as the 'king of Middle Eastern haute couture' will inaugurate IWED 2012 DOHA!"

Qatar Expo Chief Operating Officer Georges Saliba said, "The new fashion brands are moving IWED forward and putting Doha on the map as a fashion capital of the Middle East. We are increasing our exposure to the rest of the world and are now associated with many international wedding fairs and exhibitions all over the world."

According to Georges Saliba, international stylists and designers like Vera Wang, Pronovias and Frank Provost would also be on display at the exhibition.

He also added "This year’s edition of IWED will gather top quality wedding planners and designers. We aim to compete with the top wedding events in the region and the world. We know that, at present, Lebanon is leading in wedding planning in this region, but we hope to compete with the country on that level and exceed its standard someday."
