The event is hosted by Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), and will be held at Qatar National Convention Center, Doha, Qatar. IASP 2014 Doha will be the first IASP World Conference hosted in the Arab world.

As part of the bigger Qatar Foundation Research and Development (QF R&D) enterprise, QSTP’s mission is to support the evolvement of Qatar's knowledge economy by providing the ideal environment and support services for companies, institutes, and entrepreneurs to develop and commercialize their technologies. In doing this, QSTP will complement the Qatar National Vision 2030 (of human, economic, social, and environmental development).

QSTP focuses on the provision and operation of specialized physical infrastructure, the establishment and growth of technology based businesses and the participation in the process of technology development and innovation. Now, might be the right time to consider what roles research could or should play in a science park’s establishment, growth and progress.

As the event’s official carrier, Qatar Airways will help bring roughly 1,000 leading government, business and technology innovation delegates from 45 countries to Qatar.
