he abaya is an important cultural icon and religious symbol in the Gulf region. Today, the abaya is a blend of history and fashion. While many associate these wonderful garments with the color black, they also come in many varieties -- some with jewel embellishments, embroideries and even different colors.
The Hya (Arabic for "she") Exhibition aims to showcase the latest in Arab and Khaleeji fashion. In addition to abayas, visitors will find scarves, hijabs, kaftans and evening gowns. The event will also offer a great marketing opportunity for designers and fashion companies to show case the latest trends and unique Gulf designs.
