Doha is poised to become the Gulf region’s capital of green as Qatar hosts its first major sustainable development event in March.
The Green Building Solutions Conference and Exhibition will take place under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani.
Considered the largest event of its kind in the Middle East, the conference and exhibition will feature top-level local and international speakers and delegates. The event has the support of Qatar’s leading real estate development companies, BARWA and Qatari Diar. Organizers hope to attract 100 green companies to display their products and innovations in the exhibition space.
The event demonstrates Qatar's commitment to building a sustainable environment. Advocates of QSAS -- the first green rating system designed for the Middle East -- will have the perfect opportunity to public awareness on how the system works.
