Greek dance (horos) has been a mainstay tradition in Greece since the ancient times and folk dances are as alive today as they were in ancient times. Greek dancing is a mixture of pride, passion and fun. Sometimes slow, sharp and majestic, other times fast, “watery” and cheerful, greek traditional dancing has always been an expression of human feelings and everyday life. Almost every dance has a story to tell. Each region formed its own choreography and style to fit in with their own ways. There are over 10000 traditional dances that come from all regions of Greece.
