Dohnates aims to improve the lives of workers living in the industrial area of Doha by collecting and distributing unwanted clothes and household items from around Qatar to the workers’ camps.
Until the end of July they will be taking donations of the items listed below and their team of volunteers will deliver the collection during Eid al-Fitr.
The first camp selected for donations has 834 residents so they need as many donations as possible to be able to make a real difference!
Please email [email protected] for a list of drop off points or to arrange collection.
Please note they are not a charity so cannot accept cash donations, and that they are not linked to a third party in any way.
Updated (2nd June 2014)
Due to an absolutely overwhelming response from people wanting to dohnate, we are now encouraging people to collect items in their compounds, towers or places of work and join us for one of our deliveries!
Get involved, join the fun and see the difference you are making by helping us deliver to the camp.
More details will be sent out in a few weeks once we have finalised the plan.
We currently only have a couple of volunteers, and need lots, so if you can help us collect or deliver items it will be greatly appreciated…and of course hugely rewarding
Please email [email protected] if you are planning a collecting or can volunteer to help us.
Please note that we cannot take monetary donations of any kind. (https://www.facebook.com/dohnates/)
