This year Twestival is going 'Local' in cities around the world. Events will take place on Thursday 24 March 2011. Events for Twestival Local will raise funds and awareness for local nonprofits that organizers have selected through crowdsourcing for having an incredible impact within their own community.
Local organizers, a dedicated group of volunteers, are right now planning a unique program, location, and event that can take place anywhere from a pub, bowling alley, or boat and have everything from live bands, speakers, and a wide variety of food and entertainment.
Many cities will be live streaming their events, and posting and Tweeting a variety of photos and other digital artifacts that will document Twestival’s continual effort to “think global” and “act local.”
