Join Doha Mums for a gala event NOT to be missed on Friday 11 March 5:00 until 9pm in the Jupiter Room at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, C-Ring Rd.

This event will begin with a short welcome followed by a presentation on “Debunking the Myths: The Status of Women in Islam” including a Q&A. The talk will be delivered by Umm Reem, a specialist writer for MuslimMatters.org who aims to dispel the misconceptions about women in Islam.

After a ...buffet dinner, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a Live Auction and competition winners* will be announced!

The event is open to both paid and non-paid members, no children or husbands allowed.

This is a non-alcoholic event.

There is a prayer room for those who wish to perform the Maghrib/Esha prayers.

Tickets will cost 225QR and must be purchased in advance. At this stage, we will not be selling ‘tickets at the door.’ Please ensure you have the exact change when purchasing tickets.

Hurry as they are selling out fast and spaces are limited!!!

***First date of ticket sales is Thursday 10 February in the main reception, Ramada Plaza, C-Ring, 7-8:30pm***

And finally...how can one attend a gala event without dressing up?! So ladies, we encourage you to dress in your traditional outfit representing your home country. Doha Mums has such a diverse range of members, let us use this night to showcase some of these nationalities! (All we ask is that shoulders/upper arms and legs are covered and low necklines avoided; this is to comply with Islamic tradition).

The ladies-only charity dinner and auction is open to both members and non-members. A buffet dinner will be served, plus a special presentation entitled “Debunking the Myths: Status of Women in Islam” will be presented by Umm Reem

Proceeds from ticket sales and monies raised from the Live Auction will be donated via Qatar Red Crescent to help the inhabitants of Khan Younis. Tickets can be purchased in Starbucks in Villaggio Mall and City Centre Mall and Costa Coffee in Landmark Mall from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. on March 4. For more information, contact Farwin Fousdeen at 4441-3278 after 3:00 p.m. or email [email protected]
