Special Schools and SEN (Special Education Needs) Services, a member of Qatar Foundation, will host a full month of free training workshops and seminars, daily from 11 am -1:30 pm at Awsaj Academy, Education City.

The campaign is threefold, focusing on schools, parents, and the community.

They have identified three themed topics per week which can be found below. These 90-minute sessions will be a mixture of round table discussions, Q&A sessions, workshops, and a regular training seminar. There is no cut-off date and these training are open to all members of the public, free of charge.

Week One:

• Screening & Diagnosis
• Led by QBRI with the support of Renad Academy and Awsaj Academy.
• Focusing on the clinical screening process and leading to the diagnosis.
  

Week Two:

• Acceptance is an Action.
• Led by Awsaj Academy with the support of Renad Academy and QBRI.
• Focusing on the acceptance stage for parents and families after diagnosis and what support structures are available within Qatar.
  

Week Three:

• Strategies & Interventions
• Led by Renad Academy with the support of Awsaj Academy and QBRI.
• Focusing on the implementation of autism strategies and the importance of early intervention.
