Join Doha Fire Station as they create bright, high contrast oil pastel drawings to illuminate the eyes through the power of imagination. You will learn about colour and value contrast, along with blending and shading in oil pastel. You will create several drawings of familiar objects and then cut them out and arrange them into a weightless pattern against a night sky.
Ryan Browning is an interdisciplinary artist and Associate Professor in the Art Foundation department at VCUarts Qatar. He was in residence at the Fire Station, 2017-18, and is currently participating in the Fire Station Alumni Residency programme.
