The Place I Call Home is a touring exhibition curated by David Drake, Director of Ffotogallery Wales, commissioned by the British Council, that uses contemporary photography to explore the idea of home related to the experiences of young people living in the Gulf and the UK at a time of rapid change and social mobility.
The exhibition is part of a Gulf-wide initiative between January 2017 and March 2020 creating new opportunities to develop mutual understanding and respect through sharing and appreciating Gulf and UK culture, history and heritage. Artworks created by Qatari, Gulf and UK photographers will be exhibited at the Fire Station in partnership with Qatar Museums.
