The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara announced the launch of the second edition of the Katara Prize for Cartoon competition from Thursday until October 25, 2022.

The value of each of these prizes is as follows:

• First prize is $5,000
• Second prize is $4,000
• Third prize is $3,000

Details:

• Participation in the award will be open to all cartoonists over the age of 18.
• The written text must be in Arabic or English and the subject of the drawings should be about sports and football.
• Each participant is also allowed to submit a maximum of three works, provided that the entries are new and implemented specifically for this competition and that the drawings have not been previously published in media, social networking sites, or Internet sites.
• They are free to submit drawings in colors or in black and white, provided that the artist puts his or her signature on the drawing.

The first edition of the Katara Prize for Cartoon competition was launched during the period from June 20 to August 15, 2020, and its theme was homeschooling and working from home, during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. 506 contestants from 17 Arab countries and 31 foreign countries participated.
