Did you know there are very ordinary photographs that are literally generating a full-time income for some photographers? Have you ever wondered what sets an ordinary photo apart from that million dollar shot? In this workshop, we will be demystifying and explaining the elements of a money-making photograph, be it a top-selling stock photo or a competition winner. You will learn hands-on techniques for approaching subject matters with a commercial mindset and shooting photos that people want to buy, and gain insight into the world of commercial stock photography. The workshop is organized by FotoArabia, the stock photography website for Middle Eastern and Arabic-themed images, and is aimed at young photographers with a camera and with some previous experience in photography.
ABOUT THE TRAINER:
Charbel Najem is the Head of Content Acquisition for FotoArabia, the stock photographer website for Middle Eastern and Arabic-themed images, based in Qatar. During the day, Charbel interacts with thousands of professional and semi-professional commercial photographers around the world and manages FotoArabia's image review team. In his free time, Charbel is a keen photographer, working as a freelance photographer at some of Qatar's popular events. Charbel is also Qatar's first and probably only owner of the new Lomography Petzval Art DSLR lens.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:
Please bring your camera, plus 3 of your photos printed on a 13x18 cm photo paper. It doesn’t matter what photos you choose.
