The Gate Mall is celebrating this year’s Garangao by hosting a Family Fun Zone at its multi-purpose hall that covers 600 sqm, located on the first floor. Parents are welcomed to bring their kids to play and showcase their artistic side through an array of activities arranged every day from 8 pm to 1 am, for a memorable experience.

Although Garangao is usually celebrated on the fourteenth day of Ramadan, The Gate Mall will be extending its Family Fun Zone to last until the end of Eid. Organized to encourage kids of all ages to be more active and take part in sports, a range of recreational activities are offered such as a bouncing castle and gaming stations consisting of the latest sport X-Box and Nintendo games. Moreover, a team from Café Céramique will be on site, to help children paint their own ceramics for a fun, inspiring experience. Also, in collaboration with Qatar’s Table Tennis Association, a set of professional tennis tables are offered for adults to also enjoy. Alongside this, space is allocated for adults to feast on a variety of food and drinks while watching their children play.

Commenting on the event, The Gate Mall’s Marketing and PR representative, Isabella Ibrahim said: “Garangao is an important celebration for all of us, particularly children. We wanted to do something different that entertains, but also encourages them to use and develop their creativity in the process. On the 12th of July, a story teller will be available to tell the original story of Garangao, and many of the activities have been arranged to promote illustration. Ramadan and Eid are both a time for families to come together, and The Gate Mall aims to make their experiences pleasant and enjoyable. We would like to thank the Table Tennis Association for providing us with the tables in order to promote this healthy and fun sport amongst the community, and to spend Ramadan in a healthy active way. ”

In addition to the entertainment and activities provided, a grand wall is covered with paper where kids can draw and paint their Ramadan wishes.
