Behind an Object, There is a Story is our leading educational program for schools. The title itself evokes Hakawati, the traditional art of storytelling, here explored through the artifacts on display.
Young participants are then invited to a journey of discovery of local culture and Qatari heritage as the multifaceted way we can look at objects is manifold. Do all stories have to be written to be told? Can they be illustrated or embodied in a symbol?
Are objects just static items or carriers of memorable stories?
Questions like these will engage participants to see everyday objects as carriers of memories. The virtual program will be launched during Ramadan on the 29th of April 2021.
