More than 50 local and international companies are taking part in the Doha International Flowers and Garden Exhibition which runs from November 20 to 22 at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park.
The three-day expo is under the theme ‘Back to Nature’ and has, among its aims, raising environmental awareness and conservation of natural resources.
Participating exhibitors from Europe, the US, Asian-Pacific and Africa are expected to create a forum for cultural communication through the aesthetics of flowers.
Among the products to be displayed are ornamental plants and seeds, plant pots, oriental antiques, copper works, portraits inspired by plants, calligraphy, trappings, miniature and dried plants drawings in ancient Chinese art.
The expo will also feature books, magazines, periodicals and electronic media on flowers and a section on the use of flowers in decorations and ceremonies, pet birds and ornamental fish.
Visitors will also find agricultural equipment used in gardening and landscaping, greenhouses used to grow flowers, irrigation techniques, pump sprayers, different kinds of grass, marble basins, fountains, ceramics, landscaping and irrigation, garden furniture, fertilisers and pesticides.
It will be open on November 20 and 22, from noon to 10pm and on November 21 from 2pm to 10pm.
