Doha Film Institute presents Qumra, an initiative that seeks to provide mentorship, nurturing, and hands-on development for filmmakers from Qatar and around the world.

Qumra is designed to provide creative and professional support to Directors and Producers attached to up to twenty-five features, seven series, and ten shorts in development or post-production in Fiction and Documentary. They will include a number of emerging filmmakers from Qatar, as well as Regional and International recipients from the Institute’s Funding Programmes.

As part of Qumra, they have made the following programmes accessible to the public:

• Qumra Master Classes
  A group of 5 internationally renowned film luminaries will convene in Doha to share their insights in a series of Master Classes that will offer invaluable guidance for the benefit of participating filmmakers, industry professionals and audiences.
  
• Qumra Screenings
  This year, they will showcase a selection of 8 remarkable feature-length films from the region and beyond as our Qumra Screenings—all of which were made with the support of the Doha Film Institute.
  
• Qumra Pass (In-person with full access)
  As a member of the public, you can now gain access to our exceptional Qumra programme. With a Qumra Pass, audiences can attend all our Master Classes and Qumra Screenings in-person in Doha. Capacity is strictly limited, and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis—so be sure to book your Qumra Pass soon to avoid disappointment.
  
• Qumra Pass Online (Master Classes only)
  Unable to attend in person? With Qumra Pass Online, you can still enjoy our series of inspirational Master Classes via our virtual platform.
  
• Individual Screenings

• Venue and Parking Information: All public Qumra screenings are presented at the Museum of Islamic Art.
• Museum of Islamic Art: The Museum of Islamic Art is located on the Doha Corniche within walking distance of Souq Waqif.
• Parking: Parking is limited at the Museum and fills up very quickly during the weekend. Parking is also available across the Corniche in the underground car park near Souq Waqif. There is an underground walkway between the car park and the Museum side of the Corniche.
