Launched to empower and inspire the region’s youth, the Ajyal Film Festival is truly a celebration of film at its finest. For nine consecutive editions since its inception, Ajyal has built bridges and brought generations together to enjoy cinematic expressions from around the world.

The annual event will take place from 1-8 October 2022. Continuing to follow safety protocols, the festival will once again be held in a hybrid format, with a selection of in-person events and online activations.

Why volunteer?

• They would never be able to mount this world-class event without the invaluable contributions of our dedicated volunteers.
• There are many ways volunteers can get involved at the festival—help their events team behind the scenes, assist in running our cinemas, or work with young jurors from around the world. Come and be part of this exciting cultural event, gain valuable experience and form lasting relationships.

Who can apply to volunteer?

• People with all kinds of skills and all levels of experience are invited to apply, so whether you are a college student, a mid-career professional, or a retiree, we’d love to work with you. All volunteers are required to commit to 7 shifts during the eight-day festival.
• Each shift lasts between 3 and 5 hours.
• Please note that all Ajyal volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Note:

• Upon receiving your application, the Ajyal Volunteer Team will invite you to one of our Volunteer Meet and Greets, which will take place in September.
• Volunteer Department Orientations will also take place in September, and you will be individually notified of your assigned department’s date and timing.
