Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, General Manager Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti inaugurated on Sunday the Collectibles and Memories exhibition in Building 19 in Katara, in the presence of H E Dr. Mohamed Saleh Al Sada, former Minister of Energy and Industry, and a large number of people, and the media.
The exhibition is a large collection of collectibles, amounting to approximately 250 pieces, by the hobbyist Khaled Jamal Al Ajmi, and the pieces varied between household and musical instruments and traditional clothing.
The main objective of the gallery is to preserve the Qatari heritage, enlighten the youths, and help people who were contemporary to these items to reminisce about their past, he said, hailing the collectibles as a cultural stock.
