In this three-hour workshop, you will learn to design and carve blocks which you can use to print on fabric. You will mix your own colors, explore a few surface design basics, experiment first-hand with simple shapes, and learn the difference between a motif and a pattern in a composition.

The following materials will be provided:

• linoleum & rubber sheets
• carving tools
• ecofriendly professional-grade printing ink
• samples of fabric to practice on
• a selection of blank pieces such as a tote bag, a tea towel and a set of napkins

A handout with step-by-step explanations and a list of supplies for future reference is also provided.
