An exhibition featuring the thesis projects of the graduating students from their, BFA and MFA programs

The BFA + MFA Exhibition 2022, a display of the works of this year’s graduating cohort of students from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts Qatar), will open to the public from May 9 - 17 at VCUarts Qatar's campus.

The VCUarts Qatar BFA + MFA Exhibition is a celebration of the creative achievements of their graduating students and provides the opportunity to preview Qatar’s emerging talent in the fields of graphic, fashion and interior design, painting and printmaking, and design.

Design for inclusivity, homelessness, conflict, cultural conservation, third culture kids, mental well-being, nationality and identity, social hierarchies, and sustainable modular furniture, are some of the themes that have been examined by this year’s graduates.

BFA+MFA 2022 is an online showcase of innovative and inspiring art and design that is featuring the next generation of gifted creative thinkers who are demonstrating the power of the possibility of contemporary creative art and design in Qatar and the region.

The graduates are empowered with the skills and abilities that will contribute to Qatar’s entrepreneurial, cultural, and economic strengthening, and support Qatar National Vision 2030’s aim to establish a lasting knowledge-based economy.
