Calling student artists 13-18 years old in the Americas and the Middle East: express yourselves – with Arabic!
In honor of our 3rd annual Àber cultural-exchange trip, Qatar Foundation International has launched it's first Arabic illustration contest for students to “Àber” or “Express” some of our favorite Arabic words!
Àber, a play on both arabic words meaning to cross and to express, is an annual QFI educational exchange trip, stemming out of it’s Arabic Language and Culture program, that aims to bring together over 60 students from the U.S. and Qatar in an exploration of identity and cultures through the Arabic language. Students from cities across the U.S. join their Qatari peers, in Doha, Qatar, on a cross-cultural exploration of language and identity through the Arabic language.
