We are almost two months down already in 2021. Can you believe it? Even with the reimposed restrictions, there are still lots of new dining options opening in Qatar which is a good sign. We have rounded up some of the new restaurants and coffee shops in the country to help you decide where to dine in next or order delivery from!

The Jewel of Indian Cuisine is now in Doha! The newest addition to Sheraton Grand Doha is the well-renowned Jamavar which celebrates Indian cuisine, from the North to the South. The high-end restaurant has branches in London (Michelin star) and four branches in India (New Delhi, Chennai, Goa and Mumbai).
Another restaurant specializing in barbecue has opened at The Pearl Qatar! The popular Meatsmith from Singapore serves tasty slow-cooked barbecue using the best meat cuts. Beef brisket, short rib, tomahawk, lamb chops, burgers, and even brisket spring rolls - these are just some of the savory goodness you'll get to taste at this meat lovers' haven.
Car enthusiasts will definitely enjoy this restaurant and cafe that takes inspiration from a mechanic shop. The cutleries (wrenchware) are even served in a toolbox. Serving international cuisine, they offer dishes such as salads, sushi & maki, stir-fried noodles, calamari, potato wedges, croquettes, cheese balls, and more. Plus, you get to sit in race car seats while you eat!
From selling homemade authentic Mexican food in Torba Farmers Market, Salsas Maria now has her own takeaway spot at Katara. You'll find the classics such as Burritos, Tacos, Nachos, Mexican Plate, and of course Tres Leches.
What's a takoyaki? It's a Japanese street food snack made of batter typically filled with seafood and grilled in a special pan. The takoyaki balls are then topped with sauces and bonito flakes. Takoyaki Cravings also offers rice combo meals and Korean Fried Chicken.
If you haven't heard of or tried a Japanese cheesecake, now is your chance. Uncle Tetsu's soft, pillowy, and fluffy cheesecake will have you wanting the whole cake for yourself. Watch as it jiggles on the way to your mouth! The signature cheesecake can be eaten both warm or cold.
