The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa has recently announced the appointment of Vimantha Anthony as the Executive Pastry Chef, who brings with him a wealth of 15 years of experience in renowned 5-star hotels.
Working previously in several Marriott International Properties in the Gulf region, chef Vimantha served as a Pastry Chef, which helped him develop a stronger foundation and innovative skills, particularly in cake design.
From his side, Rui Eduardo Januario, Director of Food & Beverage at The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, said:“ It is a great honor for our hotel to welcome such a talented Executive Pastry Chef who is really enthusiastic about putting his knowledge and creativity to craft personalized cakes.” He added: “we promise our guests with the best bespoke pastry due to our commitment in providing the finest authentic culinary offerings.”
Commenting on his appointment, Chef Vimantha said: “Here at The Westin Doha, I am planning to come up with new creative ideas and designs for desserts and I will be focusing a lot on innovative wedding cakes. We are using the finest quality of ingredients and we are working on developing a crafted menu to deliver an excellent guest experience.”
