The Westin bring the South African taste to hunters

The Award-winning restaurant Hunters Room & Grill at The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa will launch the South African week from the 20th until the 27th of April.

The seven days event will offer foodies an exciting gastronomic experience throughout a wide array of dishes that combines the diversity and simplicity of South African cuisine.

The menu has been designed by Chef Bradley Mathias, and will bring a selection signature dishes such as the “Rooster brood” a famous starter that has been past from generation to generation. The main courses will include wood-fired South African tenderloin and the “Bunny Chow” a curried chicken dish. In addition, delectable desserts will be included such as the popular “Malva Pudding”, a sweet pudding that contains apricot jam and has a spongy caramelized texture and accompanied with an infused vanilla cream.

Chef Bradley,who is a South African National, joined The Westin since its opening in 2016.He brings with him a wealth of experience from some of the top VIP restaurants in his hometown, Cape Town and from a number of chefs that have crossed his path. He loved cooking at a young age and was was inspired by his dad, from whom he learned all techniques of authentic South African cuisine.

Commenting on the announcement of the event, Rui Eduardo, Director of Food & Beverage of The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, said:“ We are thrilled to launch the South African week at Hunters and to take our guests on a true culinary journey and we are happy to bring Doha’s diners a flavour of cultural legacy which is prepared with the freshest and finest ingredients.”

He concluded: ”We are committed to providing our guests with new and exceptional experiences all year long.”

Hunters Room & Grill at The Westin Doha is a contemporary lifestyle Grill Restaurant & Lounge bar inspired by the uncompromising quality, sophistication, originality and unique style of a traditional grill room serving the finest quality meat selected from boutique farms in Australia, USA and Brazil, plated with a contemporary touch or specials carved at the table. It is located on the mezzanine floor of Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, next to the indoor garden and is open daily for dinner from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM.
