As part of its commitment to diversifying Qatar’s entertainment scene, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has announced the launch of Aperitivo Lungo, a new after work experience available at the Italian award winning restaurant, Porcini.
The aperitivo concept initially started in Turin, in the Northern part of Italy in 1786 when a young distiller created a bitter drink boasting dozens of botanicals and then cleverly marketed it as the perfect before-dinner drink for ladies. Throughout the years, it has taken on a meaning on its own, beyond the drinks and nibbles; it is now part of the Italian culture.
Inspired by the Italian old-age tradition, it has been developed on property by Paride Noviello, Head Chef at Porcini Restaurant who wanted to bring this Italian trend to Qatar. Along with the head mixologist, they created a list of popular Italian signature drinks complimented with authentic Italian delights. To make the evening even more memorable, attendees will socialize while enjoying live musical performances featuring Italian inspired songs in a warm, cozy and classic atmosphere.
“At The Ritz-Carlton Doha, we are committed to continuously reviewing our concepts in order to ensure creating unique culinary experiences for our guests. This new implementation is an important pillar within our strategy to expand our offerings in Doha. In order to ensure an authentic journey, all our products are outsourced in Italy” said Aaron Martin, Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage.
Aperitivo Lungo is available daily from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Porcini Restaurant. For more information, please email [email protected] or call +974 4484 8000.
