It’s one of the most loved food items on the planet and eaten by millions around the globe. The humble sandwich has been a classic since around 1762 and was named after the British aristocrat, the 4th Earl of Sandwich - John Montagu. Apparently he was too busy for lunch and decided that meat between two slices of bread was a good idea at the time. Thankfully, we now have the glorious sandwich around the globe in a whole range of styles and flavour combinations. Did you know that apparently 300 million sandwiches are eaten in the US every day? Yes, the humble sandwich is big business!
Here in Qatar, the sandwich has been elevated to another level with the awesome Which Wich? – an American chain that specialises in handcrafted, “superior sandwiches.” Here you’ll find all the classics plus vegetarian, vegan and gluten options – all deliciously created with the finest ingredients!
