In this regard, Major Abdullah Al Jasmi from the Airport Passports Department and a member of the Quarantine Cell, explained that the Airport Passports Department seeks to facilitate the entry and exit procedures for travelers through Hamad International Airport, especially in light of the conditions of the Corona pandemic and the permanent update of the travel and return policy for the State of Qatar, as it always seeks. To overcome all difficulties and use the latest electronic methods in cooperation with partners in the Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Airport Administration, Airport Security Department, airlines and other partners.

As for visitors, Major Abdullah Al Jasmi from the Airport Passports Department and a member of the quarantine cell warned that registration is mandatory and not optional, and the visa number, passport number, type of vaccine, the date of the last dose and the date of the last infection with the Corona virus (Covid-19) must be entered if the traveler has He was infected with the virus and recovered, upload the attachments, including a copy of the passport, a copy of an approved vaccination certificate, and a photo of the hotel reservation for non-vaccinated people or those coming from high-risk countries, and reviewing the data and ensuring its accuracy before sending it.

Regarding the lack of approval and the reasons for this, Al Jasmi said that cases of incomplete response to the request of the visiting traveler to Qatar are mostly the result of a lack of uploading the required documents such as a passport copy or vaccination certificate or the lack of clarity in the image, and there is a whole team from the Ministry of Health working around the clock. The watch is communicating with the persons with the registration requests to inform them of the reasons for the non-approval.

Pre-registration procedure for travelers entering Qatar

He added that the pre-registration platform for those coming to the country allows pre-registration for travelers before arriving at the Qatari ports with the aim of facilitating entry procedures at Abu Samra port and Hamad International Airport. The platform by entering the e-mail, password, and verification code, then pressing enter and then selecting “Submit a new application, ”Fill in the required data, which for Qatari citizens and residents is the date of arrival, the number of travelers, the country from which the traveler came, the personal number and date of birth (and the head of the family has the right to register his family’s data, which includes the wife and children), because the health data of citizens and residents is available at the Ministry of Public Health. Once the personal number is registered, it appears.

The person’s condition in terms of vaccinations or cases of injury and recovery, and the submission through the platform for citizens and residents is optional. After submitting the application, the traveler will be able to follow up and know the status of his request for approval or any other procedures required to obtain approval, and registration on the platform can be done through the “Ehteraz” application. or the platform's website.

All family members can be registered in one application

The member of the quarantine cell continued by saying: The head of the family can register all members of his family in one application, and certain paths have been identified for each category of travelers, which are determined according to the category of the traveler from a citizen, resident and visitor, and the classifications also depend on those who meet the conditions of the vaccine or not, in addition to

Also for the country of origin, all of these classifications determine the correct path for each type of traveler, as Route (1) is specified for adult citizens and those coming from all countries, as well as for some categories of travelers from residents and visitors according to the conditions of vaccination and the country of arrival, and Route (2) is for travelers who are asked to manually sign the home quarantine, verify vaccination certificates manually, or re-examine if necessary. With regard to Route (3), it has been allocated to travelers who are transferred to the hotel quarantine.

Hotel quarantine through Discover Qatar

He added that with regard to the hotel quarantine, the platform was linked with “Discover Qatar”, and when the traveler booked the hotel and attached the reservation photos, the program could, through a specific technology, make sure that the hotel reservation was within the approved quarantine hotels, with the aim of facilitating the visitor and ensuring that his time and money were not wasted and all of these Procedures and the process of responding to a visitor's request takes from 12 hours to a maximum of 24 hours.

Major Al Jasmi explained that the platform facilitated many procedures at the airport, whereby the employee can easily and through the platform know the classification of the country from which the traveler is coming according to the latest updates, thus reducing the period of stay at the airport and speeding up the completion of procedures.

He pointed out that the visa holders must register the visa number when filling in the data on the platform, explaining that the visa is of two types in advance and the owners of this type of visa must register the visa number in the application, and there are visas whose owners are treated as a resident through the platform, including visitor visas for residency or annual visit. As for other visas with a period of time, they are treated as a visitor, and for holders of instant visas that are obtained at the airport upon arrival, they require when registering on the platform to attach a passport copy, vaccination certificate and the result of the “Corona” test.

Mistakes travelers make on the platform

On the most prominent mistakes that people make through the platform, Major Abdullah Al Jasmi explained that most of the mistakes are unintentional, such as entering some information inaccurately as wrong numbers for the passport or not specifying the place of arrival accurately, such as recording the name of the city in which the person lives instead of the name of the country.

Major Al Jasmi stressed that the hotel quarantine is a basic requirement for those coming from the red list countries from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and if the visitor has a first-degree relative in Qatar, the home quarantine will be an alternative to the hotel quarantine, with the rest of the requirements being met, indicating that some modifications were made to the platform, including not obligating all travelers to download a corona examination certificate because airlines are the ones concerned with this certificate, and the platform is the best way to approve vaccines for Qatari citizens who have received the vaccine outside the country, because once they register on the platform and attach proof of receiving approved vaccines, the data is entered into the Ministry of Public Health system.

As for the lack of registration, the person is obliged to follow a series of procedures, visit a health center and submit papers in order to approve the vaccination. Also, expatriate work visa holders may have one of them, but as a result of not using the platform, he will book a hotel room for 7 days, while if he registers on the platform and attaches the approved vaccination certificate, the platform will specify for him that the hotel quarantine is two days, not 7 days.

Pre-registration platform is related to health only and is not legal approval to enter Qatar

Major Abdullah Al Jasmi clarified that the pre-registration platform for arrivals to the State of Qatar is concerned with approval and health procedures only, and the approval obtained by the traveler through the platform does not mean a legal approval to enter the State of Qatar. Or if the resident has exceeded six months outside the country or not, it is concerned with health procedures only, and therefore the traveler must meet the legal requirement.
