During these challenging times, social distancing has become the new normal. In line with this, public gatherings have been prohibited, several services and businesses are temporarily closed, and 80% of the workforce have been required to work from home. All are part of the precautionary measures taken by the State of Qatar against the spread of COVID-19.

In lieu of face to face transactions, we now have to rely on phone calls, text messaging, emails, and mobile applications. So scroll down because we have compiled all the contact details you need amidst the COVID-19 outbreak in Qatar.

Important hotline numbers for medical concerns

Coronavirus Call Center: 16000

For all questions and enquiries related to COVID-19, members of the public should call the Ministry of Public Health's dedicated hotline on 16000. The hotline is a 24/7 toll-free call center and available in Arabic and English.

MoPH has also added an online self-assessment tool for coronavirus:

PHCC telephone and video consultations: 16000

Patients requiring PHCC services can dial 16000 and choose the PHCC option, they will then be routed to a PHCC community call centre offering remote telephone and video consultations for patients requiring both routine and priority care. The community call centre will be operating 7 days a week from 7 am to 11 pm.

HMC urgent consultation service: 16000

HMC has launched an innovative Urgent Consultation Service, enabling patients with non-life threatening conditions to speak to a specialist physician over the phone. Patients can dial 16000 and will then be routed to an HMC coordinator who will triage their case before transferring them to a specialist.

HMC Customer Service – Nesma’ak: 16060

PHCC Hayyak: 107

Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) offers the customer service Hayyak, which enables patients to get the answers they need regarding its healthcare services through the helpline "107", as part of its efforts to provide the best health services.

The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in five languages, and it provides patients with the necessary information about the corporation’s health centers and medical appointments.

The Government Communications Office recently launched a free service where Qatar citizens and residents can easily get accurate and reliable information about coronavirus. The service is available through WhatsApp and available in six different languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, Hindi, Nepali, and Malayalam.

Important hotline numbers for government services/concerns

(MOI) Reporting violations regarding quarantine requirement: 4457 9999

For complaints regarding quarantine in hotels and homes and the cases of non-compliance with health and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), you can contact the Ministry of Interior's hotline 4457 9999.

(MOI) Emergency number and reporting gatherings: 999

The emergency number 999 is also the number for reporting complaints related to violations of the gathering prohibition law.

(MOI) Reporting cyber crimes: 6681 5757

The hotline for reporting cyber-crimes is 6681 5757 and this can also be done through the Ministry of Interior's Metrash2 app.

(MOI) Metrash2 mobile app support and inquiries: 234 2000

For support and inquiries on Metrash2 mobile app or MOI e-services, please contact 2342000 or email [email protected]

Metrash2 App is the easiest and convenient way to access and complete services required from the Ministry of Interior from anywhere and at any time. You can also access the services provided by MOI to the public via the MOI e-services portal

Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour & Social Affairs: 16008

Aside from the Ministry's hotline 16008, the following specific telephone numbers are available as well as electronic services via the website and the Amerni smartphone application, without the need to visit the Ministry’s headquarters.

(MADLSA) Queries of workers and employers: 4028 0660

This is the 24/7 hotline to receive inquiries from workers and employers.

(MADLSA) Submitting a labour complaint: 92727

If you are a worker, you can now submit a labour complaint to the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour, and Social Affairs (MADLSA) any time of the day or night as the service is available for 24 hours and in different languages. Follow the steps given below:1. Send an SMS to 92727.2. Type 5, then add your Qatar ID number or visa number and send the SMS

Government Service Related: 109

Government Contact Center (Hotline: 109) offers support services for the public and answers their inquiries relating to all government services in 9 languages.

Ministry of Municipality and Environment (Baladiya): 184

The Ministry has announced on its social media channels that "Within the framework of the state’s efforts to reduce the chance of transmission of COVID-19, the people of Qatar can use the following to connect with MME:

National Human Rights Committee: 800 2222

The hotline covers five languages that serve a large segment of the country’s committees, Arabic, English, and Urdu, which in turn covers the Indian, Nepalese and Sri Lankan languages, as well as the Filipino and Swahili languages.

Katara and QRCS vegetable distribution campaign: 55470558 and 55449862 [WhatsApp only]

Katara Cultural Village in cooperation with Katara Forum for Qatari Farmers and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) launched a campaign to distribute five tonnes of vegetables every day to those in need in Qatar.

Please note that the numbers given below are not for calling, only for sending messages on WhatsApp. Vegetables will be diverted to your doorstep if you send the details of your location on the WhatsApp numbers. If you want to pick the vegetables from Katara, the recommended time is from 2 pm to 3 pm.
