Malls, wholesale markets to allow everyone including children regardless of vaccination status from 29 January

Starting from 29 January 2022, children and unvaccinated people will again be allowed to enter the malls, souqs, and commercial complexes, as announced by the Qatar Cabinet meeting held earlier today:

  • Malls: Malls and shopping centers will be operating fully, allowing entry for everyone, whether those who have completed doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or not. Children are now allowed in the malls.
    • Food court with a capacity not exceeding 50%. Also opening prayers rooms, changing rooms, and toilets in these malls. Shops inside all malls shall follow the maximum capacity of people inside as designated by the Ministry.
  • Wholesale markets: Wholesale markets to continue operation with a capacity not exceeding 75%, and allowing entry to everyone, whether those who have completed doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or not, and allowing the entry of children, with the commitment of all stores in those markets to the maximum number of customers allowed to be present in them, as determined by The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and permitting the holding of auctions in those markets.
