H.E. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani on Thursday visited a number of factories of medical products and supplies in the small and medium industries zone in the Industrial Area, to see the progress of the production in the country with regard to the medical industries and its adequacy to meet the local market needs of various products and supplies.
His Excellency visited Qatar Pharma Pharmaceutical Industries Factory, Qatar Al-Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries Factory, and Al-Maha Medical Supplies, where he listened to explanations about the strategic plans of these factories and their production capacities of medicines, sanitizers, and masks.
H.E. the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior also inspected, during the visits, the laboratories, warehouses, and the workflow of factories, in accordance with their manufacturing plans that seek to fulfill the need for medical supplies in the local market and to export to brotherly and friendly countries.
His Excellency praised the efforts of the factories, their management, and workers, commending the role played by the private sector in several spheres, particularly the medical field, in response to the national executive plan to counter the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
