PHCC: Virtual consultations only for non-essential services starting 14 February

In view of current developments in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak and for the purposes of protecting public health, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) is taking preventive measures to control the spread of the virus.

Non-Essential Services

Beginning Sunday 14th February 2021, the below services will be considered non-essential services, and all booked face to face consultations will be converted to telephone consultations. Should you have an existing appointment, you will be contacted by a member of our team to rearrange this as a virtual consultation.

COVD-19 Test and Hold Centers

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has dedicated two of its health centers as test and hold centers as part of efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The two testing centers are: Rawdat Al Khail Health Centre and Umm Slal Health Centre

Patients with mild or moderate symptoms of coronavirus should dial 16000 and will be directed to one the screening units at the PHCC COVID-19 designated health centers where they will be tested and isolated and will receive the results from healthcare professionals as soon as samples are tested.

PHCC also made the Covid-19 test available at all other health centers within PHCC for suspect cases.
