1 person referred to prosecution for violating social events pledge

The competent authorities have referred one person to the Public Prosecution for violating the pledge undertaken for holding a social event (marriage) by exceeding the number of persons allowed to participate in an event.

"In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases and the preventive and precautionary measures in force to stop the spread of Coronavirus, the competent authorities have referred one person to the Public Prosecution for violating the pledge undertaken for holding a social event (marriage) by exceeding the number of allowed persons to participate in it.

The competent authorities urge the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures in force to protect them and others from the spread of coronavirus."

According to the latest announcement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the presence of the invitees is limited to family members from the husband and wife, with the presence of no more than 10 people in closed places (home or council) and 20 people in the open places in the house.

All individuals and parties involved in preparing and organizing weddings must obtain a pre-approval for the establishment of the wedding ceremony through the application (Metrash2).
