The officials mentioned that more than 3,000 people have been tested for Coronavirus. These include people living in Qatar and who have travelled into Qatar. The total count of the cases with Coronavirus is at the moment 12.

All of the 12 patients have been admitted to the Transitional Diseases Center. The Ministry of Public Health confirms that the patients have not had contact with community members, and indicators of disease outbreaks in the State of Qatar are still low.

It was reiterated in the conference that there is no need to worry or panic and all the cases have been kept in isolation and have been receiving the required treatment. The condition of the patients are constantly monitored and have shown improvement. Even after the patient has recovered completely, they are tested 3 times.

They have also mentioned that there is an extremely low chance that there are undetected cases. They have also requested persons who have travelled to countries having a high number of Coronavirus cases and showing the symptoms of the disease to get checked at the HIA clinic or at the nearest health centre.

In the coming days, MoPh will be acquiring masks and sterilization products in larger quantities and at the moment there is no shortage of them or medicines in the market.
