MoPH issues clarification on gatherings as per latest COVID-19 measures

MoPH released a Tweet further clarifying the guidelines on gatherings as there was confusion with respect to outdoor gatherings within the outdoor home environment.

The Ministry said that outdoor gatherings are only permitted within the outdoor home environment (gardens and outdoor home areas) and for only up to five fully vaccinated individuals (14 days after the second dose). The five people include the guests and the owner of the house too.

The rest of the guidelines issued by MoPH on 13 April 2021 remain the same.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in a Tweet, issued a clarification on gatherings as part of the latest COVID-19 measures in Qatar.

The Ministry confirmed the below guidelines:

  • No indoor gatherings are permitted apart from families living in the same house.
  • An individual, or family (including children) from the same household, can go to parks, beaches and public spaces and perform activities including running, walking, swimming and cycling, but they cannot sit down together, have picnics or gather with others.
  • For outdoor gatherings, these are only permitted within the outdoor home environment (gardens and outdoor home areas) for the following:
    • Gatherings of family members living in the same household.
    • Gatherings of up to five fully vaccinated individuals (14 days after the second dose).
