The Ministry of Public Health today announced the registration of three new confirmed cases of coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) in the State of Qatar who are in quarantine. Two cases of Qatari citizens and the third case of their family of another nationality who returned from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the recent period.
This brings the number of confirmed cases of the virus in the country to eleven so far.
They have been admitted to the Communicable Disease Center under complete isolation to receive the necessary treatment while they are in a stable health condition, and the Ministry of Public Health confirms that the patients have not had contact with the general public since their arrival, and the outbreaks of the disease in Qatar are still low. It is reported that all newly diagnosed and advertised cases are in a stable health status.
The Ministry of Public Health also takes all precautionary measures to reduce the outbreak of the Corona virus, as all incoming travelers are subjected to an initial examination by thermal cameras in all of the country's outlets upon their arrival in the country, and a medical clinic has been set up at the airport to deal with any suspected case.
It is noteworthy that the Corona Virus 2019 contact center (Covid-19) in the Ministry of Public Health receives any communications or inquiries related to the virus around the clock on the toll-free number (16000).
