The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Environmental Monitoring and Laboratory Department of the Environmental Affairs Sector, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and Hamad Medical Corporation, has placed a mobile station for monitoring ambient air quality at the COVID-19 Drive-Through Vaccination Centre located in Lusail.
This step aims to monitor and control the air quality around the Vaccination Centre continuously and around the clock. A specialised team from MME's Monitoring Department and the Environmental Laboratory conducted a pre-study of the site and chose the appropriate place to monitor the air quality before moving the mobile station to it.
These efforts come within the framework of ensuring everyone gets clean air according to the highest international standards, as well as in educating the public about the importance of preserving and sustaining the environment, and ensuring the quality of the surrounding air is monitored.
