The Hamad Medical Corporation clarified via its social media accounts on Wednesday that an image with a list of "exclusion criteria" for COVID-19 vaccination that is being circulated is incorrect.

"The Pfizer and BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is approved for all people aged 16 and above with the exception of people who have an allergy to one of the vaccine ingredients or who have previously had a severe allergic reaction to food or drugs of any kind," HMC reiterated.

HMC added that "If you are contacted by PHCC and invited to a COVID-19 vaccination appointment and have concerns about the above exclusion criteria, please call the COVID-19 helpline on 16000."
