Katara on their Twitter account posted on 9 April 2021 that their beach will be closed for the public except for Jet Ski (Personal Scooters).

They mentioned that in the interest of everyone's safety and based on the precautionary measures imposed by the government, gatherings & sitting in public parks, beaches, and the Corniche is not allowed. Therefore, the Cultural Village Foundation Katara, has decided to close Katara Beach, except for the Jet Ski (Personal Scooters) until further notice.
