The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) represented by in the National Program for Rationalization and Energy Efficiency, "Tarsheed" announces the Summer Rationalization Camp, in its third edition, from June 28 to July 23, under the slogan "Qatar Pulse Our Goal", according to QNA.

Kahramaa reported that the camp will be organized this year remotely due to the current conditions the world is witnessing under the pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the application of social distancing as part of the precautionary measures to prevent the virus.

The summer rationalization (Tarsheed) camp comes within the framework of the plan of the national program for rationalization and energy efficiency "Tarsheed" during the summer period to raise the awareness of the community members of the rationalization culture, and achieve the goals of the national program for rationalization and energy efficiency "Tarsheed" in reducing electricity and water consumption, energy efficiency, and reducing harmful and conservative carbon emissions on the environment according to the Qatar National Vision 2030, as well as publicizing the sustainable development goals.

Participating in the rationalization camp are many of the summer youth centers as well as government and private departments by providing educational videos and workshops related to rationalization and environmental sustainability that suit the target age group, with innovative methods and technologies appropriate for remote participation via the website and within the campus logo this year which highlights the available energy resources and the need to contribute to their sustainability and preservation for future generations, while emphasizing the need to limit environmental damage.

The National Program for Rationalization and Energy Efficiency "Tarsheed" sent an invitation to register in the camp (Rationalization of Summer 2020), through the Kahramaa website, and view the activities of the camp provided by the national program of rationalization and youth summer centers through Kahramaa and Tarsheed official accounts on social media.

Kahramaa organizes the Tarsheed summer camp annually, where the first edition of the camp was launched in 2018, which has wide participation by summer and youth centers in the State.

Tarsheed Qatar is happy to invite everyone between the age of 7 to 14 years old to join them in this year’s Tarsheed Summer Camp. A virtual platform filled with activities, fun workshops, a digital library with books and comics and exciting challenges.
