The Embassy of India in Qatar has urged the Indian community organisations (apex bodies and associate organisations) to postpone, as much as possible, all kinds of programmes that may entail large gatherings of people, in light of the increasing reports that the coronavirus (COVID-19) has been reported in 15 people in Qatar as of today.
This will help in preventing the spread of the disease that started in China, but has now spread throughout the world.
The Embassy also stated that further guidance would be provided in the coming days as the situation in Qatar evolves.
