On 18 February 2021, the Ministry of Public Health has announced that fully vaccinated people are now exempted from quarantine requirements following travel abroad and following exposure to a COVID-19 positive case.
Questions are raised as children are not yet eligible for the vaccination and what shall families do with the quarantine when returning back to Qatar?
Dr. Soha Al-Bayat, during the weekly Q&A Instagram live on February 24th, mentioned that home quarantine for returning families of children under 16 with fully vaccinated parents is under the consideration. In this scenario, parents will have to sign an undertaking form of 7 days of home quarantine for their children. She also mentioned that an official announcement in regards to this matter will be announced soon.
The Q&A session of the 24th is not uploaded on MOPH's Instagram yet but see from February 18th as there are many interesting ones.
