H.E. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry, confirmed during his interview on Qatar TV that: "The Ministry is keen to provide all precautionary measures within the school environment and to vaccinate more than 80% of the teaching and administrative staff. All this reassures that the school environment is comfortable and safe for the safety of teachers." This was posted on the Ministry of Education's official Twitter account.
"The Ministry is keen not to add additional burdens to teachers and to free them to focus on providing distinguished education to students within a period of 3 hours."
"Teachers' attendance to school is necessary because of the interactive learning education model that was applied this year."
H.E. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi added that the period of quarantine for teachers with an active or reactive non-contagious infection is counted as an "exceptional sick leave" and does not entail any deduction from the allowances.
Employees who have not been vaccinated and have not been previously infected and fall under the definition of “close contact” upon entering the quarantine, their leave is considered a “quarantine period” and no allowances are deducted from them during that period.
"Teachers who were subjected to a deduction prior to the circular, the allowances that were deducted will be returned to them on the condition that the principal of the school provides evidence that the teacher has been assigned tasks during the home quarantine period."
"The teaching profession is a sublime and great profession, and the teacher is an essential component in building society."
"I invite our Qatari citizens to join the teaching staff in the State of Qatar, and there are specializations that we still need to attract from outside the State of Qatar."
"The State of Qatar is considered one of the best countries in the world in the field of education and the ministry is keen on making the educational process a success this year as it succeeded last year."
